I was not involved in the design of this meta-webpage construct, which is based upon WordPress, and is quite ingeniously, in my own opinion, tweaked and modified in order to run updated lists of articles through RSS feeds that display links to articles from the various ‘home style’ pages in the site. Additionally, if one takes notice, he or she will detect that the feed properties allow for the display of links to articles that are presented to the reader from contextual criteria, showcasing what is relevant to what the reader is currently perusing. However, as stated, I had nothing to do with this site’s construction, which, additionally, accounts for some of its aspects that I find personally troubling, such as the gluttony of attention that is devoted to my own meager writings.
I can sincerely express that the over-exposure of my self and often of my self alone is a source of embarrassment, and certainly does not reflect what we - the Populist Party of America - are ultimately attempting to achieve through these experimental projects in virtual forms of media. I would rather have it be the case that I wrote nothing at all. As far as I am concerned, I have already paid my dues and it is time for others to take the pulpit by starting to produce material that is better than mine.
Nevertheless, when I am faced with an absence of submissions or submissions that do not quite embody the characteristics we are looking for, I find that I end up doing the writing myself, and, believe me, as a graduate student in sociology, who is finishing a dissertation, I have already written enough for several lifetimes, and only wish to be put out to pasture where I can teach and write no more, and, in the best possible outcome, be put to the task of studding. Nevertheless, SEO is tricky business, and in order to keep the SERP’s high, fresh and provocative content is a necessity, because content that inflames has the additional effect of operating as link bait, where others feel obliged to provide links to the posted story, increasing the site’s overall link-popularity, which, in turn, affects the relevancy estimated by engines returning results from search queries entered by end-users.
So, anyway, this is another invitation to see your own work in a medium that is growing rapidly and attracting wider audience.
