Comments on: Threats to Civil Liberties arising from the fallout of the Virginia Tech Forcible-disarmament Frenzy http://www.midwest-populistamerica.com/articles/threats-to-civil-liberties-arising-from-virginia-tech/ Making America Safe for Democracy Wed, 19 Nov 2008 13:06:05 +0000 http://wordpress.org/?v=2.0.4 by: Sunny http://www.midwest-populistamerica.com/articles/threats-to-civil-liberties-arising-from-virginia-tech/#comment-60796 Tue, 21 Oct 2008 18:42:26 +0000 http://www.midwest-populistamerica.com/articles/threats-to-civil-liberties-arising-from-virginia-tech/#comment-60796 Nothing new.The wish to implode this country has never stopped since its beginning.This is just another little piece of a much larger puzzle.Those who are using va tech tradegy as an excuse serve only two purposes.Proof of their own stupidity and proof that they can easily be subverted by the enemy.Why else on a grand scale would you want more and more citizens disarmed?Is it really for protection?Not hardly.It makes it much easier to overtake ,now doesnt it.[The real truth}They have used domestic violence as an excuse to.Ive seen more victims disarmed than I ever have perpatrators[spelling].Thats not an accident either.Its been set up on a grand scale to implement religious law.The mideast and its allies have been operating behind the scenes for years.They have been quietly infiltrating and subverting our gov for years.Think its an accident that commitees had extensive talks with those overseas before the passage of certain bills that were signed into law.More specifically laws involving our own domestic agenda.Namely family law.[Capta was passed in 1974 after talks between us delegate and jordans then queen[at the last minute I might add]We were in a un roundtable discussion about children and problems of supposed abuse.The stratedgies proposed by the un didnt meet our constitional criteria.Suddenly we talked to jordan and lo and behold it passed}Thats now why any one armed with a phone including but not limited to terrorists stalkers rapists murderers or any one with a grudge can make a phone call and falsely accuse you of abuse to your children.They can do so without impunity.Dont you love how our own country gave them the weapon.[If you think that this syle of torture hasnt been practiced by terrorists youd be dead wrong] Note on the national registry for mental illness.Im ambivalent on it.Heres why.This could serve a useful purpose.Currently there seems to be no protection for id theft victims [in this domain]Someone using your name could seek mental health treatment.If they ended up having forced mandated outpatient treatment ordered.This order would come back to your name and ssn number not theirs.[Contrary to popular belief it isnt required that defendants in mental health commitmants be in court]Since you didnt receive the treatment[in the first place] you wouldnt know where to start looking for the order.They however would know where to find you.Meaning youd be forceably drugged for a condition you didnt have,with no recourse.This is even more possible when the orders are crossing state lines.From this stand point I think its the next best thing to the self starter.No one behind the scenes can do this to someone with impunity anymore. Do you think its an accident that foreign students are entering the field of physiciatry at alarming rates?No its not.Its much easier to subvert and control a drugged nation.Why else do you think that the normal range of human emotion is now cause for a label of mental illness?Mental illness many times has a physical basis.Cure or control the underlying problem and the symptoms clear with it.Much like an infection will.Its a physical problem with mental emotional symptoms.I personally hate the words mental illness.Its incorrect and quite backwards. Many truly physical problems end up giving the sufferer mental emotional problems.[trauma,longstanging illnesses]exc.If these dingbats have their way anything will become a mental illness. Its how they have designed it.Nothing is beyond their reach if it furthers their cause. To the girl who feels despondant.Hon dont let it worry you.Most everyone has had depression at some point.The label wont affect you in the work place as much as you might imagine.If at all.To wit the company I work for has a poster on the back wall that reads You dont have to be crazy to work here but it sure helps/BS You have to be totally crazy to work here you wont survive any other way. I was alarmed by the local evening news (Charlottesville NBC 29 1/4/08) as a story was reported about the attempts of the state legislature to take away the liberties of mental health patients. They were using the tragedy at Virginia Tech as an excuse. All would be despots attack the liberties of fringe groups first. Torture at Gitmo led the way. The even marginally mentally ill are now meant to become a target. They plan to legislate the removal of the rights of "mentally ill" so they can be incarcerated without, as mentioned above, committing a crime. Lock them up. If and when they get out, take away their 2nd amendment rights. Americans should take note. These groundbreaking steps, when implemented, will lead to way to this type of treatment to any good American they decide to name as "traitor", "terrorist" or "crazy". Why should a citizen need due process and the right to bear arms? The parallel to Germany is quite adept. The only way Americans should give up their guns is by having them pried from their cold, dead hands. Crazy or not. What happened at VT is driving a witch hunt and being used to fuel a propaganda campaign that seems to be working quite effectively to push an agenda which will severely limit the rights and privacy of those with mental health problems, and this is especially pertinent to policy changes that are being undertaken at universities. This, along with spending my days as a psychology major sitting in the classrooms of stale psychologists preaching to their room full of ideologues in the making, America’s baby MHPs, was a whole lot more pressure than I could’ve anticipated. It was more than I could deal with, and I became very depressed. What is happening here in the country and in the mental health system right now is more than I know how to cope with. I have worked so hard to free myself from all of it, to get well, and yet, it seems, I am working towards a hopeless future where my labels will deny me an equal existence. This rips all hope from my life. It makes me feel like giving up. It makes me think death is the only escape from the past, a past that was forced on me and that leaves me and also many others with mental health problems in rank with criminals, though having committed no crime.
