Does “Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor, Your Hungry” Mean We Open Our Doors To All?

Evidently America has now become the sanctuary of all in the world who are under duress? Not that helping others is bad thing that is not and never has been an issue with most decent people or me. Also, this has always been a nation of immigrants no doubt about it. However, these developers of this “immigration” bill cleverly and carefully avoid any mention of the key word “legally”. Remember “I did not have sex with that women?” Yes, even Christians found no fault with that act. “I like the man” they said. Speaks a lot about people who profess doesn’t it? Forgive yes; be careful, by all means.

Do people really believe we have an unending stream of wealth in this nation? I for one would like to know where it all is? Oh, I know with that 20%. We are trillions in debt, we owe our enemies, and our dollars buy the weapons they point and will use against us. We no longer own our own resources, we have no manufacturing to speak of and they talk about “full employment” and low statistics. Tell those who are out of work for over a year that. However, they never mention the type of jobs these are that people have and they talk about more new business but they never talk about every Tom, Dick and Harry with their MLM pitch trying to make money to survive. They never talk about the real plight of American middle income and average and poor. Yes, just like Katrina, remember, they just did not exist.

So open the door and let everyone in. Why won’t you do this in your own home? Why not take these people in? Why not give them shelter, food, money and whatever it takes for as many that show up at your door? What is wrong with you, are you not a “humanitarian” are these not “good” people? You may also be a good Christian or of some other faith and isn’t it the right thing to do? So we can eliminate the problem if we all take as many as we can in.

Why should anyone be upset when your loved one is replaced by one of him or her at work? Why would you be upset when you have no money to save for retirement, no money to send your child to college, no money food or health insurance or even gas to get to work? Why should you be upset when family, trying to come here legally and waiting 20 plus years is told get behind these illegal workers who we have now rewarded for crime. After all you are supposed to be a ‘humanitarian” are you not and isn’t it the right and just thing to do? I ask is this a message to send our youth? Yet, these newsmen on TV ask the dumb question, “what is happening to America” while lauding these same people day in and day out. They are in my opinion the Baghdad Bobs of this day. Crime is ok if it is the right crime and for the right reason.

It would not matter if you lost your home or you had to work long hours and maybe multiple jobs. After all you are helping people and “that’s what Jesus would want” isn’t it?

Well I think Jesus wants us to start with our own first. To make sure they are protected, secure and housed and fed. Then with our excess to tithe, oh I struck a nerve the rich will not be happy about, with our excess and tithe, if there is any, you can do what is right for others. Yes, “charity begins at home.”

So with that in mind all you who seek to help these “immigrants” that we all know in truth, not lies, are people who exploited an opportunity for personal gain. There is no lie in that. Can you blame them? Well that is a real hard question. Can you blame the thief who steals from you to feed their children or their habit? Is not a crime a crime and does it not impact someone? Are there now degrees of crime and categories of crime? Is it that Selective Application Theory again? What about the starving, poor, homeless, sick, dying here in America? Do you have no “humanitarian” comments for them? What about those out of work? No money to retool them, no grant money of education funds for them or their children? No comments, they are left out of the equation, is that right all you who profess to be religious?

Please, do not tell us the government provides social programs and millions every year. You are right but have you looked who gets it? I give you the French wealthy “let them eat cake“! Yes, there are handouts and yes there are social programs but until you know what these are like and about average and poor Americans understand they have little to no chance of any real help. These illegal workers, instant whatever you need. Americans even have to prove over and over again that they are real Americans even though born here. Yes, even if they went to school all their life here. Ever wonder why they have to question you when you call on your own account at the bank?

So I will close because I am really tired of people throwing falsehood around as example, they take jobs Americans do not want to do. Look into it and get the true answer, or that they are “good and decent’ just like the Mafia Don, because I am positive they also loved their families to the point of killing for them.

So no more when you hear these whiners and gripers that want to shove this down Americans throats. They in my opinion evidently are the real power brokers in this country. They hold the reigns of power and now that they have met resistance they are upset. Like I said, in my opinion do not work for the good of Americans but for their objectives and ideals. If you don’t even consider what I am saying is plausible, you never will.

But for you who are concerned write, call, email and do not stop until there is a just plan. Let them know you will not go away because that is just what they are hoping will happen.

your a deuche bag and i bet your older then me to which is the sad part, im 21 male. Yes give me ur tired, poor, and hungry means we open our doors to all becuase what if the all was you or me. Imagine you family is starving there is no work you goverment has abandoned you and the only hope of keeping your kids and you family not to mention ur self alive is to cross over some stupid fence. And they risk their lives crossing the stupid border just to live in some over populated shack to work at some of the lowest paying, labor intensive jobs available. Risk their lives to go wash dishes or scrub the floors and for what for minium wage. You have grown men making the same amount of money as high school kids working in retail stores. You better hope that hard times never roll around your way becasuse no ones gona be there to help you. You have alot of growing left to do, you make sure you have all the facts and truly understand what these people are going through. Good luck and stop speading your hate messages in the mean time!

and the immigrant arent asking you to let them into your house they just want us to let them into our frigin cournty. Like there isn’t enough room or something, your such a deuche bag as i keep reading ur thing, there is no way people are starving, and dying in america like they are in mexico or other parts of the world, america has wellfare, child services, and all kinds of programs out there, not to say people or children in america don’t need help, they do, but not like they do in most other parts of world, i dont have any data to back me up but im am sure the less children die in america of starvation then around the world and definitly in mexico. It is very obvious that you are a very ignorant person and are in desparate need of knowledge you probly didn’t go to college. Tell me if im am wrong. Just remember this “Evil is ignorance of good” paraphrased qoute from socrates. (Greek philosopher) You are so very wrong in your beliefs i would say from your text that you are over the age of forty, possibly have a family, you are white, and it is just a hunch but i bet you don’t care much for black people either. Let me know if im right on any of them. your misery will continue until you recieve knowledge and open your heart.

The fact of the matter is that Mexico has a deliberate policy of exporting their underclass into this country, which has the effect of reducing wages in all sectors of the economy in which the migrant labor competes. Why should we submit to the pressures of Mexican elites who are rich to the point of gluttany, in order for them to diminish demands among the Mexican populace for socioeconomic reform.
The Mexican people seem almost to willing to accept the injustices latent in their own country, and all too willing to express demands upon the United States.
If you really cared about the Mexican population you would work to retract NAFTA, which was the ultimate precipitant leading to this mass exodus from Mexico into this country.
Also, I think it is a bit hypocritical of Mexico making demands upon the United States to reform its immigration policies, when Mexican law imposes felony charges upon illegal immigrants found in its own country. Perhaps, you could explain the logic behind you own assertations that America is being unfair, when we continue to have the most liberal immigration policies of any country in the World.

Micheal, unless you are an illegal immigrant who has made the journey across the border, than you neither have any idea what it is like. Maybe you can empathize with them, but there should still be border restrictions. You gave the example of imagining your family starving, etc. Now imagine your parents working in a building, then imagine no building further more existing. I am not saying illegal immigrants who come here for a better life are a national threat, but lack of border security poses a major threat on the well being of the united states. The open borders can easily be exploited by those wishing harm upon american citizens. And what about the crime rate? Illegal Immigrants add to the crime of America no matter how little crime they commit. That is another unwanted side effect. Next time you decide to throw the word ignorance around look things up from both sides of the argument and maybe you will not be the once looking like a naive “douche bag.” Also, you spelled douche wrong. Maybe it is not ignorance that plagues you, but illiteracy.

can we help them stay in their own countries?

I agree with the comments above. Michael, you are a deusche bag. Not simply for the inhumane understanding of political and economical strife in the world (that we as Americans, purposefully or not, benefit from), but also for your lack of understanding in the ways in which our economy grows and prospers. Instead people, such as yourself, start rumours of how immigrants are stealing all your jobs and that there are not enough resources to share and scare the general public into thinking they are true. God Forbid the United States and our people ever find ourselves in a position where we may need aid. That is, however, besides the point. I honestly hope no one takes this article too seriously, or takes you, michael, too seriously…

Can American exist without illegal work force?
Who is going to pick the strawberry or garlic?
Who will wash your car at the auto-mat?
Who will wash dishes and help you clean the house?

Without the illegal immigrants, we have to work harder and mow our own grass every weekend.

We can’t afford to live without them.

Gracias

This is hilarious. Do none of you have spell-check? It’s built right into this website… maybe it’s more of a grammar issue, but I digress. I stumbled across this site looking for a reference about this kid, Arthur Mkoyan, who is being deported in spite of being the valedictorian of his class. The US welcomes illegal immigrants because it reduces the input costs for labor. This is a conscious decision. Mexico’s #1 input to the GNP is money transfers from the mobile labor force. I think it’s brilliant, really… a mutually beneficial relationship.

However, it is not the underclass that comes over, it is the best of breed. It is the same archetype that drove the success of the United States. If anything, there is something to be learned from people who will work (yes, you lazy, welfare collecting ball of losers) for even paltry wages, who will strive, who will study instead of party, who will save instead of spend (yes, you irresponsible, equity inverted bunch of deadbeats).

Anyway, it looks like at least a few others read this tripe and are responding likewise, and some others, well…
